“On the third day, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. And the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servants, "Whatever he says to you, do it.” Now there were set there six water pots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons a piece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!" John 2:1-10
Just like the wine Jesus made was the best, so is life in Him better than life on our own. God is not dull and lifeless. He is alive! There’s excitement and stability in Him. Let's not wait until everything else runs out before trying God. What we have has no comparison with what God has. The wedding in Cana is a great example of what can turn out when we put our trust in God. There’s best result of every turn of event for those who put their trust in God. Even during this time of Pandemic, things can work out for us exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
The Lord can show up and make us know how valuable it is, to put our trust in Him! The scripture says the master of the feast, did not know where the wine had come from but the servants who had drawn the water knew. Likewise, knowledgeable are God’s servants and prophets whom He uses to spread the gospel. May we believe the gospel and pray for the Lord’s protection on us, all the days of our lives, even as we put our trust in Him, in Jesus’s Mighty Name! Amen & Amen! May the Lord bless all of us, family, even during this time of Pandemic!
“Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.” Job 8:7
Our current situations can make us feel awesome but it’s all inferior like the wine at the Cana wedding. In God, there’s nothing inferior but everything is of good quality. May we take God’s word to heart. It’s all powerful! Amen + Amen!
